My name is Chodak Tashi Ghartsang. It was back in 1999 when I was reading a teaching given by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, titled “Enlightened Courage” that I realized the depth and wisdom of Lord Buddha’s teaching. At that moment, I thought of the possibilities of imparting Buddha’s teachings in different ways and the idea of creating a game on the teachings of Buddha flashed into my mind. I knew it was a very difficult project but I somehow managed to maintain that new found inspiration and courage to finally come up with the Karma Chakra Board Game. I am not an expert on Buddhist philosophy nor do I hold any degrees from any institutions on Buddhism but I did my research to create something of quality, depth and substance. I started the project by reading many books on Buddhism written by well known Rinpoches, teachers, academics and authors. I spent about 6 to 7 months on the design concept of the Karma Chakra board, so that I can have a simple yet beautiful and meaningful artwork.
